Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Hex wrench set (included)
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Spanner
  • Pliers
  • Leveling card (included)

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unbox and Inspect: Carefully remove all components from packaging and verify all parts are included and undamaged.
  2. Assemble Frame: Connect the vertical aluminum extrusions to the base frame using provided screws and brackets.
  3. Install X-Axis: Mount the X-axis gantry to the vertical extrusions, ensuring smooth movement.
  4. Install Print Head: Attach the Sprite extruder assembly to the X-axis carriage.
  5. Connect Electronics: Route and connect all cables to the main control board following the wiring diagram.
  6. Install Build Plate: Place the magnetic PEI spring steel build plate onto the heated bed.
  7. Level the Bed: Use the CR-Touch auto-leveling system to calibrate the print bed.
  8. Test Run: Perform a test print to verify proper assembly and calibration.
Warning: Ensure the printer is placed on a stable, level surface away from flammable materials. Keep children and pets away during operation.

Key Features

Sprite Direct Drive Extruder

All-metal direct drive extruder provides precise filament control, enabling printing with flexible materials and reducing stringing for cleaner prints.

CR-Touch Auto Leveling

Automatic bed leveling system with 16-point mesh calibration ensures perfect first layer adhesion across the entire build surface.

Dual Z-Axis Lead Screws

Synchronized dual Z-axis motors provide exceptional stability and precision, eliminating gantry sag for consistent layer quality.

PEI Spring Steel Build Plate

Magnetic removable build surface with PEI coating offers excellent adhesion when hot and easy print removal when cool.

Silent Motherboard

32-bit silent motherboard with TMC2225 drivers reduces operational noise to below 50dB for quiet printing environments.

High-Speed Printing

Optimized motion system and firmware allow printing speeds up to 250mm/s with acceleration up to 2500mm/s² for faster print times.

Printing Technology Explained

FDM Technology

Fused Deposition Modeling melts thermoplastic filament layer by layer to create 3D objects

Direct Drive

Extruder mounted directly on print head for precise filament control and flexible material printing

Auto Leveling

Automatic bed calibration ensures perfect first layer adhesion across entire build surface

Heated Bed

Temperature controlled build plate prevents warping and improves adhesion for various materials

Filament Runout Sensor

Detects when filament runs out and pauses print, allowing for filament change without print failure

Resume Print Function

Automatically saves print progress and can resume printing after power interruption

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Printer won't start Power issue, loose connections Check power supply, ensure all cables are securely connected
Poor first layer adhesion Bed not level, incorrect nozzle height, dirty build plate Re-level bed, adjust Z-offset, clean build plate with isopropyl alcohol
Filament not extruding Nozzle clog, extruder gear slipping, incorrect temperature Clean nozzle, check extruder tension, verify temperature settings
Layer shifting Belt tension, loose pulleys, overheating drivers Check belt tension, tighten pulleys, ensure proper cooling
Stringing/oozing Retraction settings, temperature too high Adjust retraction distance and speed, lower printing temperature
Warping Bed temperature, cooling, adhesion issues Increase bed temperature, use enclosure, apply adhesion aids

Error Codes

  • E1: Hotend temperature error - Check thermistor and heating cartridge
  • E2: Bed temperature error - Check bed thermistor and heater
  • E3: Thermal runaway - Check cooling and temperature sensors
  • E4: Filament runout - Replace or reload filament
  • E5: Homing error - Check limit switches and mechanical obstructions
  • E6: Communication error - Check USB/SD card connection
